TORICH applies quality control from incoming material verification to final inspection, packing and shipment. Material identity, production batches and inspection results are recorded to support product consistency and traceability.
During production, dimensions, surface condition and key process results are checked according to the applicable standard, drawing and customer requirements. Final testing is selected according to the material, product type and intended application.
Quality control is integrated into the production route rather than relying only on a final inspection.
Material grade, batch identity, dimensions and documentation are reviewed.
Key results are checked during forming, heat treatment and finishing.
Dimensions, straightness, surface condition and marking are verified.
Chemical, mechanical or non-destructive tests are arranged where required.
Inspection records, product identification and packing are checked before dispatch.
Inspection methods are selected according to the applicable product standard, drawing and confirmed customer specification.
Material certificates, heat or batch identification, grade, size and visible condition are reviewed before production.
Dimensions, surface condition and process results are checked at selected stages during cold forming, heat treatment and finishing.
OD, ID, wall thickness, length, straightness, ovality and other specified dimensions are measured as applicable.
Inner and outer surfaces are inspected for visible defects, contamination and conditions that may affect downstream use.
Testing may include chemical composition, tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, hardness, impact and metallographic examination.
Eddy current, ultrasonic and other non-destructive tests are performed when required by the standard or customer specification.
The final test plan depends on the steel grade, tube type, delivery condition and contractual requirements.
| Inspection Category | Typical Items | Main Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional Inspection | OD, ID, wall thickness, length, straightness and ovality | Confirms compliance with the drawing, standard and ordered tolerance. |
| Surface Examination | Inner and outer visual inspection, surface condition and cleanliness | Identifies visible defects or conditions that may affect use or processing. |
| Chemical Analysis | Material composition and grade verification | Confirms that the material chemistry meets the applicable requirement. |
| Mechanical Testing | Tensile, yield, elongation, hardness and impact where applicable | Verifies mechanical properties and the specified delivery condition. |
| Metallographic Examination | Microstructure, grain condition or decarburization where required | Evaluates structural characteristics related to processing and performance. |
| Non-Destructive Testing | Eddy current, ultrasonic or other agreed methods | Detects relevant surface or internal discontinuities without damaging the tube. |
